A Gates Millennium Scholar, she navigated through a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Johnson & Wales and an Educational Specialist Degree from Nova Southeastern. Yet, amidst this academic whirlwind, her heartstrings played a sizzling tune of Caribbean melodies, a culinary legacy passed down from generations. Her dad’s Louisiana kitchen tales, grandmother’s weekend feasts, and aunts’ sumptuous bakes painted her childhood in the warm hues of comfort and soul food.
The intoxicating aroma of food, always wafting from her family’s kitchen, signaled more than just a meal – it was a daily festivity. Practically tethered to her grandmother’s apron strings, Dejah’s culinary flair sparkled at family gatherings. Her effortless panache for event planning surfaced while assisting her aunts, setting the stage for what became ‘Naked Fusion’. College years amplified her culinary passion, leading to an unexpected but delightful venture in 2020. With her innate design aesthetics and an ever-growing clientele, Dejah effortlessly dances between her professional commitments and her gastronomic adventures, ensuring every plate is a fusion of love and tradition.
